Is this just a warmer climate problem???

noticed last night at the preds vs flames contest that the puck bounced---A LOT... during the post game radio show the commentators acknowledged this and said it was due to the outside temperatures still being fairly warmer than usual.. is this same issue holding true league wide, or just in the warmer areas..does it improve as the others say it will or is it just the type of pes or whatnot????
