Crime, FEAR, and Policing question?

The last two Labour governments have shown more commitment to ping a large number of enactments restricting the freedom of the individual and destroying institutions which had worked well for many centuries to imitate foreign institutions than to tackling the problem of growing crime. They have deliberately refrained from enforcing existing legislation designed to control the arrival of immigrants in our midst and have weakened the structure of the family, which in many ways was the backbone of society. Can the leopard change its spots?
