Is it ok if i use my notebook with an LCD connected all the time?

I've recently purchased an acer aspire ONE notebook and since it has a VGA output and 3 usb ports i tought maybe i will connect my LCD (witch is much more bigger. 19" compared to the 10.1" ) and also i would connect my keyboard and mouse to it so it would become a PC sort of. and when i would have to take it with me i would just simply plug out everything. the question is that is it ok if use the notebooks VGA output all the time (every day, for long ours some times)... any opinions on this matter?
