My husband is from Iraq.We were granted approval to marry but r still waiting for ILR. How long does it take?

I think it strange that having permitted us to marry the ILR is taking such an age. Also, why should I be penalised - until ILR comes through he is still 'employment prohibited' putting a big financial burden on me, and now I'm pregnant! Who - in all the faceless bureacracy(sp!) can I tell?!!!!
